D8 exemption allows you to burn plant tissue waste, wood packaging and packing material waste at a port when a Plant Health Notice has been issued, to prevent the spread of plant diseases.
D7: burning plant and untreated wood waste where it's produced
Businesses such as joiners, gardeners and farmers can burn their own untreated wood and plant waste on a bonfire, at the place it was produced.
D6: incinerating waste produced on site
D6 exemption allows you to dispose of small amounts of specific waste that have been produced on site in an incinerator.
D5: depositing waste samples for testing or analysis
D5 exemption allows you to deposit and store waste samples when required to comply with or enforce specified regulations, or before testing and analysis for research.
D4: depositing diseased crops under a Plant Health Notice
D4 exemption allows you to deposit diseased crops where they were grown, when a Plant Health Notice has been issued, to reduce the risk of spreading plant diseases or pests.
D3: depositing waste from a portable toilet
D3 exemption allows the burial of waste from a portable toilet, to avoid long-distance transportation of small quantities of waste to sewage treatment works.
D2: depositing waste from train toilets
The D2 exemption allows older rolling stock not fitted with appropriate collection facilities to deposit sanitary waste on to the track.

T29: carbon filtering non-hazardous pesticide washings
T29 exemption allows farmers, landscapers and other land managers to treat non-hazardous pesticide washings produced during their work.
U8: using waste for a specific purpose
U8 exemption allows you to recycle waste that does not need treating before being used. This helps reduce the use of virgin materials.
T28: sorting and denaturing controlled drugs for disposal
T28 waste exemption allows pharmacies and similar practitioners to denature controlled drugs, to comply with Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001. T28 exemptions are free of charge.
